Open the Eyes of Understanding continued...

In the midst of all of our hardships our faith is growing and we are developing character.  Trials and tribulations force us to exercise our faith muscle and pressure causes whatever is on the inside of us to manifest.  The word says that God takes pleasure in our prosperity (Psalm 35:27), and He does, but not at the expense of our character.  Our difficulties are not a measure of God’s love for us.  We must know how very much God loves us, and that He is faithful.  He will keep His word and fulfill every one of His promises if we don’t faint and if endure to the end.  For those who believe and obey, God will do exactly what He said he would do.  Gal. 6:9 says

9 And let us not grow weary while doing good, for in due season we shall reap if we do not lose heart. 10 Therefore, as we have opportunity, let us do good to all, especially to those who are of the household of faith. (NKJV)

Many grow weary and give up before they see their blessings.  Both those who quit and those who persevere suffer the same things: weariness, impatience, agitation, disappointment, confusion, etc.  But the ones who persevere have learned to:

            1) call on the name of the Lord for strength to endure

            2) guard the words of their mouths

            3) walk in love

            4) keep believing God, no matter what the circumstances say

            5) keep praising God, especially when they don’t feel like it

In other words, they’ve made a quality decision not to quit, not to turn back, and they rely on the Lord every step of the way.

I’ve stood for over twenty years for some of God’s promises and I’m still standing for most of them.  I’ve stood and struggled through some of the worst hardships of my life, especially since filing this lawsuit.  The enemy has done all he could to discourage me, all in an effort to make me let go of God’s word.  But I constantly call on the Lord to anchor me in Him, to hold on to me and to help me.  And He does.  Praise be to God and God alone that I’m still standing.  This same God is here to do the same for you.   I pray that the woman in the article will call upon the Living God to restore her soul, strengthen her and bring her into the fullness of all that He has for her.
